1) Graduate Engineers for recruitment as Engineers/Officers. In addition, few Graduate Engineers will be engaged as Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAEs) in line with Apprenticeship Act, 1961(and subsequent amendments thereafter) from Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical disciplines. GAEs are offered lump sum monthly stipend for a period of one year and on the basis of their satisfactory performance, they may be absorbed in the Corporation.
2) Post Graduate Engineers for recruitment as Research Officers in Research & Development Centre of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.
3) Post Graduates in Chemistry (with minimum 2 years of relevant experience) as Assistant Officer (Quality Control) in Marketing Division of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.
Educational Qualification/ Age/ Pay:
Post 1):
a) Candidates should have passed qualifying degree examinations and been awarded bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology (full time regular courses only) in the above mentioned disciplines from recognized Indian Universities / Institutes.
b) Candidates, belonging to General and OBC (non- creamy layer) categories, should have secured minimum 65% marks in qualifying degree examinations. Qualifying marks is relaxed to 55% for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/People with Disability (PwBD) candidates.
c) Candidates currently in final year of their engineering studies may also apply. However, if selected, they should be in a position to submit their final mark sheet by 31st August, 2019.
d) Candidates pursuing/ completed M.Tech in any disciplines, other than those mentioned above, for being eligible, must have completed BE/ B.Tech in one of the above mentioned disciplines and should appear in GATE-2019 examination in the discipline of their BE/ B.Tech, are eligible to apply.
e) Percentage (%) of marks obtained by the candidate in BE/B.Tech will be reckoned to decide the eligibility.
f) Integrated ME/ M.Tech candidates will be eligible, if they have already completed (or are completing) the course requirement for award of BE/ B.Tech in one of the core disciplines advertised above and have completed (or are completing ME/ M.Tech by August, 2019). At the end of the programme, if selected in Indian Oil, such candidates must have both BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech degree.

If a candidate pursues integrated ME/M.Tech Programmes and is awarded two separate degrees i.e. BE/B.Tech and ME/M/Tech, then the % of marks/CGPA obtained by the candidates in BE/BTech will be considered to determine the eligibility of the candidates.
If a single degree i.e. ME/M.Tech is awarded to the candidates at the end of integrated ME/M.Tech programme, then the consolidated marks obtained by the candidate at the end of integrated ME/M.Tech programme will be reckoned for deciding the eligibility.
Age: Maximum 26 years as on 30th June, 2019 for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwBD candidates will be applicable against reserved posts as per the Presidential Directives.
Pay: Candidates selected as Engineers/ Officers will receive a starting basic pay of Rs. 60,000/-per month. In addition, the selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances, according to the rules of the Corporation in force, as amended from time to time.
Post 2):
a) Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering including Chemical Technology/ Petrochemical and Petroleum Refinery Engineering/ Refining and Petrochemicals Engineering/ Petroleum Science & Technology/ Chemical Process Design/ Process Design Engineering/ Computer Aided Process & Equipment Engineering but excluding Catalyst/ Catalysis/ Plastic Engineering/ Bio-Medical / Rubber/ Oil/ Paint Technology/ Surfactant Technology/ Ceramics Engineering
And
Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering including Chemical Technology/ Petrochemical and Petroleum Refinery Engineering/ Refining and Petrochemicals Engineering but excluding Plastic Engineering/ Bio-Medical / Rubber/ Oil/ Paint Technology/ Surfactant Technology/ Ceramics Engineering.
b) Masters Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering including Electronic Systems Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering but excluding Avionics Engineering/Electronics & Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering/Electronics & Instrumentation engineering
And
Bachelors Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering including Electronic Systems Engineering/ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/ Electronics Engineering, but excluding Avionics Engineering/Electronics & Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation
c) Masters Degree in Fluids & Thermal Engineering/ Fluid Mechanics Engineering/ Fluid Dynamics but excluding Thermal Engineering

d) Masters Degree in Metallurgical Engineering including Metallurgy/ Coatings/ Corrosion Engineering/Mineral/ Material Science

Age: Maximum 28 years as on 30th June, 2019 for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwBD candidates will be applicable against reserved posts as per the Presidential Directives.
Pay: Candidates selected as Research Officers will receive a starting basic pay of Rs. 60,000/-per month. In addition, the selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances, according to the rules of the Corporation in force, as amended from time to time.
Post 3):
Candidates having M.Sc in Chemistry (full-time regular course only) will be considered for recruitment as Assistant Officer (Quality Control) in Marketing Division. M.Sc in Chemistry will mean M.Sc or equivalent degree either in Inorganic/ Organic/ Analytical/ Physical/Applied Chemistry.
Candidates from other branches of Chemistry viz Bio-Chemistry/ Geo-Chemistry etc. will not be considered as eligible.
Age: Maximum 30 years as on 30th June, 2019 for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwBD candidates will be applicable against reserved posts as per the Presidential Directives.
Pay: Candidates selected as Assistant Officer (Quality Control) will receive a starting basic pay of Rs. 50,000/-per month. In addition, the selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances, according to the rules of the Corporation in force, as amended from time to time.
Selection Process: Recruitment to the above mentioned positions will be through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2019. Short-listing of candidates for further selection process (comprising of Group Discussion (GD)/Group Task (GT) and Personal Interviews (PI)) will be based on GATE-2019 score. GATE score of 2018 or any other previous examination is not valid.
How to apply: Candidates are required to apply/register online for GATE-2019 using GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) by the closing date for submission of applications for GATE-2019. After downloading the GATE-2019 admit card and receipt of GATE-2019 registration number, the candidates may apply to Indian Oil ONLINE. The relevant link will be made available from 4th January, 2019 on the Indian Oil’s website www.iocl.com.
Last date for Applying to IOCL Online : 10th February, 2019 is the last date for receiving the ONLINE application by Indian Oil.
