COVID-19 pandemic leads Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) to reduce 30 per cent syllabus of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examinations for 2021. The decision was announced today by SEBA chairman R. C. Jain.
All the schools will get the new syllabus in PDF format on Tuesday. On the other hand, syllabus for class nine students will also be reduced by 30 per cent.
“Almost 30 per cent syllabus of all the subjects will be reduced. We will send the new curriculum to the schools tomorrow. The new syllabus will be made available on our official website also,” said Jain.

Earlier, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) had reduced 30 per cent of the syllabus for higher secondary second year students.
